Special bollards

Thoughts on these types of bollards. They’re usually near schools so people dont block the path with there cars. They’re not on school property as they’re on the path outside of the school or around the corner like the one that I nominated.

There’s usually two types of these bollards and they’re the children figures (as you can see from those coordinates) or the pencils.

Those are really cute, but you’re fighting an uphill battle, I’m afraid.

  • School grounds. It’s going to be really hard to convince reviewers that something shaped to appeal to children/with a school theme is not on school property.
  • Framing it so ML knows what it is looking at, or at least doesn’t outright reject it. For that, I think you have to get right up on one of them and hope you can see the others in the background. But even that may not be enough.
  • Though I have never seen anything like this, your description indicates that they may be common in your area. That may lead to people thinking they are too much like infrastructure (which they technically are) and rejecting them for not being “distinct.”

Even school route signs is not acceptabel, and they more colourfull, even if they far away from school ground.

Across the street there are some normal cycling trail signs, maybe you can try those, or look for a hiking or cycling trail

Nothing wrong with the location in the U.K they are on the pavement. I have seen them accepted…

…that one is more unusual but that’s the issue they are pretty standard. So I think you are likely to get a not distinct response.

The two circles on the right are the schools and the circle on the left are the bollards, they are quite far away so that shouldn’t really be a problem. These aren’t that common from where im from, it’s usually those small children figures if they want to change how bollards look and i’ve only seen them at 4 other areas in my county.

They still look like pencils though, don’t they?

It’s just missing the bottom part. Normal bollards are usually those silver metal ones or the black and white ones with a red top.

Yes we have quite a lot around here.
If you can make a case for those particular ones based on unusualnin area then maybe.
For photos I think on crouching down with one quite close so you are level and looking along might make a good picture.
It’s not a strong candidate.

Is that not the same like these? They also only around and on school routes?

Its the same concept, that you only see ad school ground or the area around them or the route to it? Made a while ago a topic about it you still remember?

I don’t know but if the purpose of those are to make sure that cars dont park on the path so children can cross the road safely, then these are the same

This was the topic
yes are markes for kids to know where to school is to travel on the route, and al other traffic know its a schoolroute to slow down its not a traffic sign, and yes also colours poles so car cant park, best thing to look for is signs from walking routes or cycling routes where you also can walk safe. Hiking trails,
