J’ai récemment reçu une suspension que je considère comme injustifiée.
Selon Niantic, l’une de mes soumissions (“Panneau d’informations de Sceaux”) aurait été signalée pour mauvais emplacement. Malheureusement, je n’ai plus le mail original lié à cette soumission (probablement supprimé à l’époque, car j’étais en plein dans l’achat d’un appartement et je filtrais beaucoup mes mails).
De ce dont je me souviens, ce jour-là j’avais soumis deux Wayspots situés l’un à côté de l’autre, comme deux propositions similaires que j’ai faites par la suite et qui, elles, ont été acceptées.
Pour être transparent :
J’ai déjà reçu un avertissement d’un jour auparavant (14 mai), pour une autre proposition où j’avais un peu exagéré le titre d’une statue (j’avais mis mon pseudo car elle venait d’être inaugurée et n’avait pas encore de nom officiel). La localisation, en revanche, était correcte. Dans ce cas-là je n’ai pas contesté car je pouvais comprendre la sanction et j’avais été sanctionné pour la localisation et non pour le titre !
Cette fois-ci, je suis convaincu que la suspension est injustifiée.
Je connais bien les critères Wayfarer car je suis actif sur le Discord Wayfarer ainsi que sur plusieurs Discord locaux en région parisienne. Et j’ai remarqué que de plus en plus de personnes se font bannir récemment, souvent pour des raisons peu claires.
Depuis le rachat par Scopely, il est aussi devenu quasiment impossible d’échanger avec une vraie personne du support, ce que je trouve très regrettable, et on m’a conseillé de venir en parler ici.
Est-ce que d’autres ont déjà rencontré ce problème ? Ou trouvé un moyen efficace pour faire appel dans ce genre de cas ?
On google maps, that location drops directly in the middle of a pedestrian crossing, with an information panel being available several metres away. Was that definitely the location of your submission?

I served my one-month sentence. However, I cannot log in to Wayfarer, and the suspension page has changed to say that my account is suspended. Is this normal?
I’m reaching out regarding a suspension I received about a month ago.
At the time, the email mentioned it was due to a Wayspot misplacement, but when I checked my Wayfarer profile, the reason appears as:
“The text or photo contains insults, mockery, or harassment towards a person or group.”
This is clearly incorrect. My submission contained no offensive or harassing content.
It was simply a photo of an informational sign, where a political poster happened to appear in the background, with no disrespectful message or comment attached.
I’m no longer suspended, but I would like to know if it’s possible to have this strike reviewed or removed from my account history.
I’m concerned that if another misunderstanding happens in the future, this previous penalty could lead to a more severe or permanent ban.
I fully understand and respect the community guidelines, but in this case, it seems to have been a misunderstanding.

Was it clarified in your DM that this candidate was the cause of your suspension for misplacement?
The English rejection reason is for “abuse, ridicule, or harassment.” This has been inappropriately translated to “insults” in French which is wildly misleading. “Abuse” is meant to cover anything explicitly against guidelines. Ridicule (or mockery) and harassment are included as examples. Unfortunately, it tends to obfuscate the cause to many of the community.
