My local area will soon be participating in a Charity Art Trail, the type becoming common in the UK and I assume in other areas of the world.
“Statues” area created usually of an animal (we had elephants 10 years ago and this time its Lions.
They are painted by local artists.
They are displayed dotted around the area for a number of weeks.
They are then removed and auctioned for Charity.
By the definition I see these as Temporary and Reject as so.
I previously reported one in another area including a link to the official site stating they would be removed and it was rejected stating that I should report after it is removed.
Should I Reject these or Accept then have the job of Removing them afterwards?
Oh yes these are a bit of a plague in the U.K. over the summer holidays to keep kids occupied.
Maybe we can alert people here? The key is usually the website and map to show where they are.
It is worth noting that they are normally auctioned off in the autumn for more charity money and find permanent homes. Those permanent homes are ok. Like this one which has been here for 3 years.
They are a plague from the perspective of wayfarer because they are temporary and ineligible, but make there way into the submission queue because people think they can slip them in unnoticed (and are often successful at that).
So you tried to alert help chat that this ineligible nomination is in queue, and they told you they could not pull it - that you would have to wait until it was accepted to report it for removal? I vaguely seem to remember doing similar in the past.
This temporary statue issue is another where wayfarers who do diligence and follow criteria get their ratings dinged from those who don’t accepting in error. I hope something can be reworked around rating.
It had already been accepted and appearing in game.
I reported it including a link to the official website stating that they would be removed after about 6 weeks to be auctioned but that is when they refused to remove it.
Note: I think it is a great idea and it’s a great charity that the local ones are helping. I even followed the 2016 Elephants trail taking photos of everyone of them. Just don’t think they are great nominations for wayfarer.
@NianticAaron states to Reject so that is what I will do, If any get through should we report here for removal?
The abuse report form is able to pull a nomination in voting, but I would be hesitant to use it since a nomination like this is likely to be miseducation not intentional abuse? Maybe we can use and make clear that fact in the text.
