I have the feeling we need to talk about this topic. Even though it’s been nearly 2 years since the last post here and that by now the Clarification Criteria should be known by the Wayfarers, it seems this isn’t the case. While being out and about the last couple of days I have nominated a couple of Trail markers that point out the direction on various Trails.
Of a total of 9 Nominations, 5 got rejected, 2 got accepted, 1 got accepted after I appealed it and 1 is still in review after I claimed an appeal. The rejection reasons are a bit obscure, mostly being that these Trial Markers aren’t permanent and not visible unique or being on a private property or even not public accessible ( as a Trial Marker). I understand that these Trial Markers are not visible unique, but according to this:
Not if it comes down to the Criteria of eligible Trail Markers as I pointed out in the post above. Why is that so? Well the Touristboard has 15 Routes that lead through the Countryside. Those Trialmarkers are official parts of these Trails and placed at decision points that you stay on the Trial. That’s what the Criteria Clarification says.
Hi, die grünen Schilder auf weißem Grund sind Richtungsanzeiger, also normale Straßenschilder für Radfahrer, keine Wanderwegweiser.
In Deutschland sind die meisten tatsächlichen Radwanderwegweiser mit Zusatzzeichen ausgestattet, z.b. kleinen Plaketten, Logos auf dem Schild oder auch Vinyl Aufkleber.
Du kannst theoretisch bei deiner regionalen Wander oder Tourismus Organisation fragen, ob die einfach tatsächlich die Richtungsanzeiger benutzen oder wie die Markierung generell ist. Aber fast immer lauter die Antwort nein und dann hast du keinen Beweis, dass in diesem.Fall es okay wäre, diese Art von Beschilderung für den Wanderweg zu nehmen.
Meistens werden die auch eben wegen den unterschiedlichen regionalen Beschilderungen auf der Welt fälschlicherweise angenommen, aber bei Meldung auch gleich wieder gelöscht
Was heißt das nun für jemanden der diese Schilder einreicht bzw. einreichen möchte? Richtig, das bedeutet, dass solange diese Wegweiser teil einer offiziellen Route sind, was der Fall ist, da sie sich auf der Strecke, der Themenroute “Wold und Woldsee” befinden.
Das sind die 08/15 Richtungsweiser für das Radverkehrsnetz, das sind völlig normale Straßenschilder. Die benutzt der Radwanderweg vielleicht mit, aber das macht sie nicht zu Trail Markern
Mass produced oder wie du es nennst 08/15. Legitim, solange sie dem Zweck dienen einer Route zu folgen oder folgen zu können. Dies ist hier ja der Fall. Sie dienen dazu der Themenroute “Wold und Woldsee” folgen zu können. Dies muss während des Reviewprozess für den Reviewer in den zusätzlichen Informationen ersichtlich gemacht werden.
Muss ich wohl warte bis ich wieder Einspruch einlegen kann.
Niantic have made clear that the directional markers in Holland (etc) pointing at cycle route nodes and other destinations are not eligible as wayspots and will be removed if reported.
Multiple wayfarers have told you this on this thread.
You cannot make an alternative opinion clear to the Niantic reviewers and it is pointless filing another appeal in at attempt to overcome Niantic’s opinion.
I’m not making an alternative opinion to Niantic reviewers nor am I trying to manipulate them in any way. The Criteria Clarification say, that even though it is a mass procuded Item or Trail Marker, or whatever you want to name it, as long as they are part of an official Trail/Route they are eligible if it is made clear to reviewers in the additional information.
Nope, the white/green or white/red arrow signs are for the Radverkehrsnetz which is generic infrastructure. I posted a link to a comment where I explain this. German bike signage is categorized into “zielorientiere” and “routenorientierte Fahrradwegweisung”. The latter is the one that is used for so called Radwanderwege, and is what is eligible. The other just points people to the fastest routes to get to a specific place.
Niantic agrees with this understanding (as it is well documented to be accurate) and they do remove the white and green arrow signs.
