Unable to Submit Abuse Enforcement Appeal - Submit Button Does Not Work

Description of Issue:

I recently received a Wayfarer Abuse Enforcement warning for “Misplacement of Wayspot Submissions” and attempted to use the official appeal process referenced in the enforcement email and on the Abuse Enforcement Ladder Policy page.

When I access the appeal form, I am unable to submit the appeal because the Submit button never becomes available/clickable.

I have a legitimate appeal I am attempting to file regarding a community dock nomination that I believe was incorrectly flagged as a misplaced submission. However, the technical issue prevents me from using the official appeal process described by Niantic.

I have attempted the form multiple times and cannot complete the submission.

Additional Information:

This is not in game, it’s on your Wayfarer appeal website. The warning email specifically states that I may appeal the enforcement action. Because the appeal form cannot be submitted, I currently have no way to exercise that appeal right.

Could someone verify whether the appeal form is functioning correctly and advise on an alternative submission method if the form is currently broken?

Thank you.

Hey @acadiel ,

I have sent a DM with all the relevant details. Please review it.

I just tried and can confirm that it is working as intended.

This post can be considered your appeal.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Best,

Thank you for continuing to discuss this with me, Aaron.

After reviewing the submission, the coordinates, and feedback from experienced Wayfarer users on Reddit, I can accept that the submitted coordinate may not have ended up where I intended. Whether that was due to my own error, limitations of the mobile submission interface, or some other issue, I understand why the submitted coordinate raised concerns.

What I am struggling with is the escalation directly to an abuse warning.

I have been playing Niantic games for more than 10 years, am a Level 50 Pokémon GO player, and only recently decided to begin contributing through Wayfarer. This nomination was submitted in good faith with the intent of adding a legitimate community recreational location in a low-density area. There was no attempt to manipulate game placement, create a home Wayspot, or gain any personal advantage.

If I misplaced the nomination, then I accept responsibility for that mistake and have already corrected it by resubmitting the location using verified coordinates. What I am asking for is some consideration of the context: a first-time contributor making an apparent location mistake while attempting to follow the rules should ideally receive guidance and education before being treated as engaging in abuse.

I respect the need to protect the map from bad actors. I simply do not believe my actions fit that category, and I would respectfully ask that the warning be reconsidered in light of the circumstances and my good-faith efforts to correct the issue.

Thank you for your time.
