Unsure if this qualifies

I know places of worship generally qualifies… but am not sure if this one does or does not. Without going to the location, I don’t know if there is a permanent site at the location that is dedicated to the church, or if they rent some space in the hall. Would it be worth subbing if it is a rented space or not?

You could make a case for it as an events venue, even without the church.

The way I would go about this might be to treat it the same way I treat the nomination for a hotel ballroom: as one of my supporting photos, I try to get a list of events that will be taking place at the ballroom, to support it as a great place to socialize.

Hi,
The church services are a red herring.
Maybe over thinking
Just submit Victoria Hall as per any community use hall.

That’s fair. Wasn’t sure if the hall within itself qualified and seen as a community hall. I’ll look and see if I can submit it at some point.

It doesn’t matter how a space is managed, the function is key. And a hall is used for social activities.

Just need to work out what would make a better Main image… Will probably end up using the other images as supporting images.

Hmmm
Not sure.
The one of the building has something about it that is jarring. Can’t quite put my finger on it :joy:
I think there are too many other distracting elements ( the steps in the foreground) and it’s a very ordinary

Not 100% convinced by this crop either.:joy:
( obviously me being unreasonably fussy over pic )
I do like foundation stones and often submit in their own right. Where are these located relative to the building? I would be tempted to make them a separate submission. They do tell a nice story of the history of the building.

The door is the only thing I could find that identies the venue other than the foundation stones. :man_facepalming:

The foundation stones are just a few metres away. Thought about making them as a different sub, but as it stands wouldn’t make it as a Pokestop / gym or Powerspot.

Personally I would try a close crop of the door.
With web submit the foundation stones could be additional information. I don’t submit a lot so I would probably submit the foundation stones at some point. Who knows if they could ever be used:woman_shrugging:

Good luck with it.

When there is a new functiion announced that takes advantage of unused Wayspots, I will look at subbing them and hope for the best.

If you don’t have much preference over what appears, I’d imagine the stones would sail through review with those engravings and strong link to the history of the venue

Might be easier to submit than the building if you just want an easy life

Community rejected as being not permanent or distinct. Will appeal when I get an appeal back.

arghh

Was half expecting it. It’s the 3rd rejection I had in a period of a week or 2.

I had 6 rejections overnight  if that makes you feel better

I would do the Mr Burns thing and say excellent… But I am not that evil. Hope you can get them overturned.
