"upload later" misbehaving

Hi,

This has happened before, so is nothing new, but I have the full story this time.

I’m currently on an island with awfully unreliable signal, so all of my nominations have been “upload[ed] later” through PoGo. I then upload them once I get home, onto wifi.

This works fine, but has problems. The wifi itself can die at times, causing the upload to freeze. This means that while uploading, I’ll press “upload later” again, so I can resume uploading once wifi is back.

About ≈50% of the time I do this, the nomination that it’s currently uploading will turn out corrupted, in a way.

  • The main photo will be deleted
  • The supporting photo will be set as the main photo

I’ve attached an example of this.

I would love to know why this happens, and would love to get my nominations back if at all possible. I can provide their original main photos if that does become an option.

TLDR:

Cancelling the upload of an “upload later” nomination will continue to upload it, while breaking it.

Hi, is it possible for you to use the draft feature on the Wayfarer website instead? That will probably have less issues :slight_smile:

I think @wooperIooper has the best solution. Unfortunately, Upload Later still requires a decent connection (as I have found when trying to use with a razer-thin connection), so if things are dropping off when using it, don’t use it but use the alternative.
