Utility Pole with Colored flower, need help on improving submission

Hello, I am a bit surprised that this got rejected. How do I improve from this?
Note: the pole being colored is not visible from google street view somehow.

information:
In An Thanh quarter, Thai Hoa ward, Tan Uyen, Binh Duong, the monotonous metal electric poles become colorful thanks to the decoration with “red roses” during the “National Great Unity Day” (November 5, 2023). From the electric poles, they protect themselves with colorful flowers, not only contributing to building a cultural and civilized space, but also becoming a beautiful symbol of solidarity and cohesion of the community here.

Supply info: This is a volunteer project to decorate the neighborhood, bringing a high sense of discovery and sociality. The decoration activity is made from the “National Great Unity Day” on November 5, 2023. Reference website: Sôi nổi Ngày hội Đại đoàn kết toàn dân tộc khu phố An Thành, phường Thái Hoà

Your description makes this sound like a temporary decoration. If it is permanent, you need a better way to explain/prove that.

Mhm, Was it not “painting for a year and a half” and due to a community event of decorating the city not enough proof for permanent feature?

Perhaps because I’m reading a translation, the English sentence structure is not clear to me. Maybe it reads more clearly in your native language.

Are you able to supply the location? I’m wondering if this was pinned at the correct location, due to the fake rejection. Yes, you note that this isn’t on Street View, but it does sound like the poles themselves are there, just unpainted.

Also, when I do a Google Lens translate of the description, it reads differently in English than your translation.

This I believe

Oh um I guess I need to self translate the meaning:

So the submission is about a lot of electronic pole getting painted into some sort of flower due to a volunteer work. It happened 1.5 years ago. It is parted of a program by the government.

Oh my f god I made a grand mistake

I forgot to include the people house yard and put it in the wrong location.

I am gonna recheck some of other submission.

Update: Seem like most of it is correct. I am unsure though… Those pole location are killing me.

I have some of other pole nearby, that is on hold right now. I might have to withdraw them…

Yeah, always a good idea to check the location pins, even after submitting. Shame if they are placed incorrectly, but I don’t see any issue with the description, as it doesn’t read as being temporary to me. I think it’s more likely that whoever said it was a fake couldn’t visually located it, which, in that case, they should have rejected for inaccurate location, not being a fake.

How do you guys pinpoint a pole location accurately. I need to learn this technique consider there is zero visual indicator…

If it’s something I know can’t been seen on Google Maps, such as someplace indoors, I stand right by the place to get the best location when submitting. I’ve also submitted placed outdoors that aren’t on satellite and/or Street View yet, and sometimes I’ll do this as well, but sometimes I know where it should be placed without being in the exact spot.

This might not be possible for everyone to do, but it can be helpful, along with the supporting photo and text.

Make sure something that can be seen on satellite or streetview is in your second photo.

I recently submitted a sculpture that is not on streetview. But it’s near a street lamp. That street lamp can be seen on street view and the shadow it casts can be seen on satellite. I made sure to talk about that in my supplemental.

Any nomination of mine that isn’t obvious (and even some that are) I like to make specific notes of the location and how to support it.

A friend did a very good job before at a new construction development where she took her support photo from an intersection with the street signs visible and the patio waaaay back (but still visible) and noted this in the Supporting.

Update, the second flower tower is not approved, at least this time it is not getting the “fake” submission anymore so that’s something to be less worry about.(it is not distinct/permanent)

I believe each flower is really different and make it distinct right? It is a volunteer work of the community in here to improve the city, so they are not home-made or fake, they brought community value.

They are also painted 1.5 years ago, and are really unlikely to be either removed(They are utility pole), or washed(we just have a lot of rain going on, the paint is still in original condition).

How do I change the description or the supporting info to make a statement that either stay forvever and it is different. As for now my writing(from me doing the translated):

Description: In An Thanh neighborhood, Thai Hoa ward, Tan Uyen, Binh Duong, the once plain utility poles suddenly became vibrant with color thanks to the flower decorations “This name flower” during the “National Great Unity Day". Each power pole is adorned with vibrant flowers, not only contributing to the creation of a cultural and civilized space, but also serving as a beautiful symbol of solidarity and community bonding in this
area.

Supporting information: This is a volunteer project to decorate the neighborhood, bringing a high level of exploration and social interaction. The decoration activity was held during the “National Great Unity Day” on November 5, 2023. Welp. Now I am confused that this get in? Same text same stuff same everything? Guess I have to spend 1 month of appeal for those submission.

Edit: I change my submission support info to have distinct/permentant feature, let’s see how it goes!

Well, those utility pole are always 50/50, I did appeal one of them and waiting for a result right now. Hopefully I can make a post to educate the VN community later.

[Talk to Vietnamese] , yeah cũng hơi chán, nhưng sẽ k bỏ cuộc u, có gì t đăng vài post tại sao mấy bài này hợp tiêu chí.

Update, same day approval! Think the supporting info improvement work.

Google is in my opionion, compared to other free services, a terrible translation tool. For business i switched to deepl and other tools. I find it highly dangerous to rely on google translate when making decisions.

Google Translate is what the forums here use, as it’s integrated into the Discourse platform. I have found it to be just fine, since I use Chrome as my main web browser, and the Translate stand-alone application can expand on what the meaning of certain things are. I also had no issues with understanding the translation, as this was something that @seaprincesshnb was commenting on.

Users are free to use different translators if they wish, as Wayfarer doesn’t tell us which to use. So, if you do want to use a different translator than Google Translate, you’re more than welcome to do so.

If you would like Wayfarer to use a different translator for the forums, you are welcome to start a new thread about it, as this topic was about why a nomination wasn’t accepted, not translation issues.
