We would love Wayfinders to join the Wayfarer Ambassador program, we just don’t want people who sign up thinking it is something different to what it actually is. 
Maybe using different wordings could have helped. “Wayfarer Consultant” could be better than having ambos here and there
I hear the word ambo and all I think of is an ambulance and or para medics in them. Generic term in the two countries I inhabit to mean emergency health workers and the vehicle they drive. You really want them but to never to come to/for you..
Fun fact, Wayfarer had “Ambassadors” before Pokemon Go had their “Ambassadors”. so maybe you should ask them to change to Pokemon Go “Consultant”. I hope you find the humor in my message, but we had the name first.

i know that you are a very passionate Wayfarer, and your words are always heartfelt.
they ordered a new Ferrero Rocher trunk, so I think there will be many wayfarers that will apply, so they don´t miss out on the gala diners
Ah the Ferrero Rocher mountain is not to be dismissed lightly.
Wayfarer is such an interesting “hobby” ( ok for some it’s an obsession ).
Just as Wayfinders come in all varieties it’s important that Ambassadors reflect those different experiences. So I hope there is a wide range of people interested in putting their hat in the ring. You have more skills and experience (from inside and outside Wayfarer) to offer than you think. If you are interested in doing the volunteer role then don’t assume that others will apply, they are probably thinking you will. 
What will be on your Mount Ferrero Rocher Rushmore… oh wait…. not that type of thread. Sorry.
Have guidelines for forum moderation been made available to Ambassadors, yet? Will this be made in a format available to the community as a whole to better understand staff actions?

All new and existing Ambassadors + Alums who wish to support in forum moderation will go through an onboarding to ensure alignment and fairness in the process. Similar to any other volunteer onboarding, this too will not be made public. Wayfinders seeking to better understand moderation can review our forum guidelines, ToS, etc.
Ambos take so much heat for their work here on the forum. It would be nice to be able to point other forum users to the guidelines that ambos are given for forum management.

My personal view is that the majority of moderation on a forum should be around engaging, leading and posts that set the tone - a presence on the forum.
But there are times for more application of moderation. I do think it’s not always clear what the community should be expecting Ambassador moderators to be able to do. Details are not needed but a better sense of what to expect seems reasonable.
In my over 30 years of moderation experience ( yes yes some of you were not born then and the internet was in infancy ) it has become pretty standard practice.
As we’ve been over, setting enforcement of rules the community is unaware of and not being communicated properly about when posts are censored by Ambassadors or staff doesn’t seem appropriate or fair.
