This is an old one and bear in mind the maps have now split but back then we could see Test Wayspots then be good to see Removed Wayspots as well.
So move this question onto new Wayfarer Map - are we going to see Removed Wayspots?
Have a toggle feature to include them and they can be colored differently.
It’s a soft deletion but useful to:
- see the history of a Wayspot (transparency)
- saves someone resubmitting (not just their time - but impact on the review queue, other reviewers, appeals and so on)
- helps Wayfinders understand eligibility and the process
- helps them understand the removal critera (which is not the same as the rejection criteria - that’s another AMA question).
And be interesting to see if the report / request came from a Wayfinder or Niantic themselves.
