Waypoint question

This is a random question but for waypoints that get accepted in pokemon go but don’t become pokestops are they new pokesmon spawn points? Or is it just for other games like ingress?

If it was accepted to the Wayfarer map but not appearing in Go then it shares another

cell

with another Wayspot.

This article explains

cells

As far as spawn points go there is this article

I’m not sure how up to date it is or if I should be even mentioning

cells

as

cells

are not Wayfarer related and technically a thread should be locked for mentioning them.

I’m sorry about that

I don’t think people are understanding OP’s question.

Yes, I believe that hidden wayspots DO increase XM in Ingress, and spawn in PokemonGo. So even if a wayspot doesn’t make it into your game, there’s a little benefit from it.

This has not been strictly proven nor disprove. And there have been significant changes to the system that I would be leery that it remains today when at best you have a random Reddit user proclaiming it as fact in the same threads as people thinking Niantic personally adds PokéStops Wayspots.

Lock this non Wayfarer related thread, please.

This answers my question thank you :four_leaf_clover:

Note that it is likely an incorrect answer, or at least not entirely accurate. Carefully search for some Silph Road, GO Hub, and reddit articles will likely give you lots of information stating otherwise.
