Hopefully you also reported VMT Hand of Destiny (27.522713,-99.474516) which is on the same school, which takes students from grades 9, 10, 11 and 12, so students from ages 14 to 18.

I am guessing that from the name of the school, they assumed it was higher education, but the website makes clear it is not.
I did once I saw it on the map prior to appealing earlier today. Funnily enough, I had rejected that submission for being at a school when it came up for review but it was still approved.
I really hope Niantic revisit this appeal. Sometimes they do this quietly (no message on the thread, but the wayspot changes); sometimes they message to confirm the removal.
Thanks for the appeal, @rmifl! We gave this a second look and decided to retire the Wayspots in question.
