Additional Information: I am appealing a rejected location edit for the Wayspot ‘Canindé Dr. Gabriel Zanatta’. As shown in the attached screenshot, my in-game request from March 13th was rejected on March 16th.

The current marker is placed in the center of a sports field located inside a gated residential community (Private Residential Property). This prevents safe pedestrian access for the general public from the outside.

I am proposing a correction to the perimeter of the field at: -21.022459, -47.758559.

This new location is superior because:

  1. Public Accessibility: It is located directly adjacent to the public sidewalk (Av. Pref. Newton Reis), allowing all players to interact with the Gym safely without trespassing.
  2. Guideline Adherence: Niantic’s guidelines for large sports areas suggest placing markers at entry points or perimeters for better accessibility.
  3. Safety: It resolves the access issue while preserving the Wayspot for the community.

You cannot appeal rejected location edits on the forum. You have an appeal button within wayfarer itself that you can use. If that isn’t showing, it means you’ve used your two appeals recently and you need to wait for their 15 day cool down period to be over before they refresh. If you’ve already appealed this and the appeal was rejected, I would maybe suggest trying again using the help chat on the wayfarer website.

That being said, whilst I do agree the current location is not the best due to the guidelines, your suggested location is inaccurate because it’s beyond the perimeter of the football pitch. The perimeter seems to be quite visible on satellite view, but your pin is well away from it.

Items inside a gated area is eligible, a waypoint does not have to be accessible to everyone, just those that have the right to be there.

The location ought to be moved just not to the location you request as the pin needs to be at the actual location in the real world.

A common recommendation is behind one of the goals. As this pitch it fenced the entrance at the fence would also be a suitable location.
