I have a wayspot that’s in Harry Potter but not on Pokemon go. How do I get it added onto Pokemon go? I submited a new request but it got automatically rejected as “duplicate”
@momopieki
Welcome to the forums!
Your nomination was for a Wayspot not necessarily a Pokéstop or gym. Different games have different inclusion rules. I’m not sure what Harry Potter used but Pokémon Go uses S2 cells. Each Level 17 cell can only contain 1 Pokéstop/Gym. If your nomination was in the same cell as another, it will not appear in Pokémon Go but may at some point become a Power Spot.
I can help verify this if you provide the GPS coordinates which can be found under the supporting picture in the email that you received after your nomination was submitted.
I unfortunately already deleted the email from my trash Here’s the exact coordinates of the spot.
30.540717, -97.625107
Unsure what I submitted on Wayfarer though
Was it Eternal Flame by any chance? That seems to match your coordinates. It’s in the same Level 17 S2 Cell as Old Settlers Park Disc Golf Course. Only one Pokéstop or Gym can occupy a Level 17 S2 Cell, so the Disc Golf Course will be blocking the Eternal Flame from being able to be a Pokéstop or Gym. It may still show as a Power Spot occasionally though.
Yes! That makes so much sense. That disc golf course is definitely nearby… Where are you seeing these cells?
I’m a bit curious how you managed to verify that your wayspot is visible in the Harry Potter game, which has been sunset for many years now
if you do a google search on “the app you mentioned against tos” then google’s ai will explain why it is for you.
No need of that, xernox told me the reason
