Even though my wayspot is in a S2 cell by itself, it doesn’t appear in the game 24h after. Should I wait longer and is niantic deciding kinda at random what makes it in?
Normally it is stated to wait 48 hours but there has been reports of the daily sync not happening so it could take longer.

Ahh I see. Well thank you, I guess I’ll wait awhile longer and see. Btw I am talking about a wayspot that has already been accepted 
All the ones that made it into the game in the past appeared within 24h. Idk the white dot is never a good sign imo
There are other reasons such as Sponsored Wayspots or Property Owner Requests but due to the timescale and recent sync delays I would not worry about those at the moment.
If you are happy to post the Title and location we can take a look if anything has appeared on the map?

If by “on the map” you mean in game, then no. I was there a few minutes ago. And if you mean on Wayfarer, yes. There’s the white dot encircled in orange at the spot, and those are not in the game. That’s why I found it odd since I checked the S2 cell and there’s nothing in it, and it’s genuinely a good wayspot. But since there’s delays I guess I’ll just wait and see. It’s not that big of a deal just curious lol
