Wayspot questions

I have two questions. I was biking along the rails to trails and discovered a previously decrepit playground had been demolished and replaced with a much larger play space for multi ages. The pavilion is presently a pokestop that carries the name of the old playground. The pavilion was replaced with a much larger space that includes fully accessible restrooms. On the back of the pavilion on the concrete wall that did not exist before (there is no view no view of the restrooms entrances ) there is a brand new tiger mural. Since the old pavilion is still a wayspot is it okay to submit the new mural?
I also took photos of the new story corner, new playground entry sign on the brand new fence and a rather large mural that is close to the play area for older children. So all in all I submitted 4 distinct new items in a location that is brand new except for the location of the pavilion- I did not include the pavilion as it is new but in the same spot. There is one other mural, I’m not sure how close wayspots can be. I could have added a wayspot for the brand new basketball courts with bleachers for spectators. This area is rapidly becoming a resting spot for bikers and hikers. It is an excellent spot for a large meetup, it is very close to other sports areas with multiple gyms and waystols along the bike route and ball fields. The entire are is an excellent area for fairly large gatherings to meet n play.

Question two there is a hay ride and a fire truck trip around the campground where I visit frequently. I’m having trouble finding an appropriate way to include these fun activities as a wayspot. There is a permanent sign at the pickup and drop off spot- that sign no matter how close I get still has edges of the restrooms that are in the building located On either side of the sign. The area is ALWAYS packed with kids as one or the other trip runs fairly consistently through the daylight and up to ten at night. The sign is placed lower to the ground so it is impossible to get a picture of it sans children. I got permission from park owners to photograph the empty hay ride and fire truck. I did not place the location where the hay wagon or fire truck sit as they do not depict the permanent pickup and drop off sign. I think the permanent sign would make a great wayspot. I submitted the photos of the hay wagon that was rejected- I understand why. I can’t figure out how to fix it and stay within guidelines. Any tips? Or is this a no go?

I am very bad at answering questions without a visual, but don’t want your question to be skipped.

It sounds like a mural on a back wall would be a separate point of interest from a pavilion and something I would submit.

It sounds like the in game pavilion is still a legitimate point of interest (POI) that you can update by adding a new photo of it.

A new story corner sounds like a great wayspot, just remember to word it as “added in 2026” instead of “new” if you mention when it was built so that the text does not get outdated.

A new playground entry sign would be a duplicate of an existing playground if that playground is already a wayspot, but you could add a new photo to the playground. Unless I misunderstand what you are talking about here.

If you give a location, I can show you the L17 S2 cells there to show you where density rules would allow wayspots to be pokestop eligible.

The rides would need to be anchored by something permanent like a sign as you stated. If you can’t get an acceptable photo of the sign, I don’t really have any suggestions for you. The only thing I can think of is to use an appeal on a rejected nomination and explain to staff why you used the photos you did and that the anchor point for the photo is the permanent sign. But I don’t know if this would be accepted. If you got permission from the owners to photograph the empty hay ride and fire truck, could you get permission from them to photograph the sign outside of hours they are open? Photos taken when it is dark out are not easy to get accepted, but if they are clear, then they can be acceptable.

Cyndiepooh has made some great points.
A location would help us advise further regarding not only submitting wayspots but creating pokestops.
