Wayspot removal appeal

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Crematorium

  • Location (lat/lon): 53.475811,-2.380344

  • City: Manchester

  • Country: England

  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):

  • Additional Information (if any): Crematoriums are a place of mourning for people who have lost their loved ones so this is definitely a sensitive place which is also within a cemetery which is also sensitive the building is currently in use still and shouldn’t be used as a Wayspot I’ve seen another post about a pet crematorium getting removed so this one should too especially since it’s for humans and affects lots more people

  • also weren’t sure if I had to cover my name or not but I can uncover it if needed

Hey @Corvussawman

Welcome to the forum,

Good job with filling in the information for the appeal. I wish good luck for the decision.

Regarding your question. You don’t have to cover your name in the mail.

Good luck

Hi thanks, do you think I need to add anything else I was thinking of adding the guidelines from their own website about sensitive places and it including cemeteries, should I swap the pic to show my name?

Hello and welcome @Corvussawman

Although some places within a cemetery can be suitable as wayspots….

This is a crematorium in active use

As the website describes this is a place that is set up for cremations when mourners might be attending but be outside.
I would regard this as a sensitive location, the sort of place I wouldn’t submit.

Thank you for the quick response

Yeah there is a few stops in the cemetery currently such as a war memorial and a flower garden plaque which seem to be acceptable after my research I’ve done, thanks for looking into it aswell I appreciate it
