Wayspot was rejected for duplicate, but it's not

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Алея видатних випускників КНУБА

  • Location (lat/lon): 50.426839 30.464889

  • City: Kyiv

  • Country: Ukraine

  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):

  • Additional Information (if any):

My wayspot was rejected for being a duplicate, but that’s not true, another player and I submitted two different wayspot here. It seems like the people who checked it accidentally decided that these wayspots were the same thing. But in fact, his wayspot is a memorial to outstanding companies that were formed by people who studied at the university, while the one I submitted is a memorial alley for graduates of this university, these are different things, with different titles, diffrent objects and photos. I also cannot appeal on “Contribution Management” page. That’s why I’m writing an appeal here.

Hello and welcome @Dragereeno

The 2 appeal slots you have refresh every 15 days. So you just need to wait and you will then be able to appeal.
If it would be quicker then making a fresh submission and addressing the issues about not understanding it is different would be worthwhile.

Hello.
So, is it better for me to resubmit this wayspot, or wait for the appeal button to appear, or can I leave this as an appeal here on the forum?

Are you familiar with s2 cells? Are you sure its rejected because your friends submission? If you go into submission screen you can see if there is any “!” (unused wayspot) in that cell. What you submit might be duplicate of these unused wayspot.

Appeal or resubmit is up to you. Usually i prefer to find more evidence and resubmit . If there is nothing else i can add, then i just appeal after your appeal quota appear

I know what you’re talking about, but there were no such wayspots and no unused wayspots.

It is hard to tell from the limited information exactly how strong this submission is. For example is it clear from your photos exactly what this is for and that it does look distinct from the other wayspot.
If it is clear and good then an appeal would work, if it needs improvement then resubmit.

As Cyndie says there isn’t an option here to have an appeal heard.
