I can’t use Web Submit with Chrome on my Android phone, and that is without having any tools installed on my phone. I had to install FireFox to use Web Submit on it. And even then I just make a draft on my phone, then submit from my computer.

I have no add-ons. Maybe web submit on Android Chrome is simply broken?

I’m not convinced by this explanation. I was on Wifi which was working fine with pages loading normally, including the Wayfarer pages. This error was occurring instantly when clicking Submit or save as Draft. This is not indicative of lag.

I’m having the same issue and am at my wits end. I’ve restarted my phone, cleared cache, signed out and in, used a different browser on my phone and tried submitting different wayspots instead. I feel your frustration. It doesn’t help much that this simply reverts you to what you had before. Do your best to ignore the existence of the web upload and revert to doing it in Pokemon GO. You lose the additional supporting photos, but can at least submit the POIs.

I eventually found my inbuilt Samsung browser will work. Both Chrome and Firefox are having the issue for me.

I would hope that Niantic would notice that it is not a connection lag and would take this problem seriously. It is good you found a workaround.
