So I wanted to submit some new Wayspots and noticed that two of them would be duplicates. When I checked the Wayfarer profile using the plugin, I noticed this icon.
I I think that was a few weeks ago now. What should I do? Just submit them as new Wayspots, since they seem to meet the distance requirements on the map.
Please note that Niantic will not comment on anything related to third party tools.
The Niantic map loads data about Wayspots and their in-game status. This icon means the Wayfarer data had an entity type of “POKESTOP” and a status of “INACTIVE”.
What has been observed is that these tend to be Pokestops which at some stage were moved and then despawned from the game. We have also observed that they never switch back to “ACTIVE” once they become “INACTIVE”, even if they now meet inclusion criteria.
Do not resubmit them. They are live Wayspots and would be correctly marked by reviewers as duplicates.
This is not a Wayfarer issue, this is a Pokemon Go issue.
Thanks for the helpful answer. But sometimes real objects with has a wayspot in game get relocated, so to not being able to reflect that in game seems strange even when the follow the distance rules.
I dont know but if people experience that often, I guess they will refuse to make an edit if the wayspot then disappears.
