What to do on "edit location" reviews?

most of this edit location reviews I have done are the same, someone is trying to move the stop to a spot its suits them better and not the real location, but I have found many markers that both are wrong, and I can see the real stop as not an eligable option, so I mark “unable to find an appropriate location” and say the above on the optional additional comment, am I doing good? does this “deactivate” the stop? or just leave it as it is? (on the wrong place either way)

on the picture, the real stop is on the red dot, is neither of the options

If you pick “unable to find an appropriate location” it simply means the edit request will be denied and it will remain in the old location

When I see something like this, I like to make help chat aware of it. That is totally up to you as to whether to pursue it further or not. What you are doing is an accurate way to proceed imo.

Looks like its located in the middle of a road so likely doesn’t have safe pedestrian access and should actually be removed, not edited?

In some cases I’ve seen none of the locations being valid and the actual wayspot being somewhere else nearby. Some of those I have reported as abusive edits precisely because I think the wayspot has been misplaced over multiple edits to move it more convenient.

yeah, but still I dont know how to do that on the edit location review, now that I know the criteria and all of that I know almost half the pokestops I know should be removed

that is exactly what I am talking about on this post, but dont know how to report when is an edit location review

Through the chat that pops up when you select help on the website or you can try the report button on the review page

You can report any wayspot through the new Wayfarer Map - Niantic Wayfarer

Select the wayspot then click Report and you can choose any one of these categories plus up to 3000 characters of supporting text..
