What happened? Will there no more synchronizations for energy nodes today, February 4th?
There are reports that a Power Spot sync did not happen as it was expected.

It was confirmed there was a sync issue with wayspots. Yesterday one of my approved pokestops showed up, but the powerspot hasnât yet (do they sync less often?)
Have any or all of your wayspots gone thru by now?
Will we have to wait until next month? 
I wish the nodes werenât temporary. Where I am, two disappeared last month. Itâs awful when they donât appear and there are important events.
They typically happen once a month, but today it seems like it has been skipped.
That has happened in the past, but there has also been one out of typical sync after a skipped one. So who knows.
My post was merged here, I was also wondering if the last sync error was fixed and if all pokestops went thru or if they would be gradually appearing? Just curious if there is an official update from the team?
Good evening, anyone knows about the latest monthly refresh of powerspots? I found a topic of last year but itâs not updated with the last months so far, I know itâs probably not a wayfarer topic but I am unable to use reddit to personally ask there, if someone knows I would be grateful of getting that info, thank you (so far I found that the refresh is on like 4th each month, but seems like on late 2024 some months were skipped and continued on 2025, I was wondering if the monthly refresh is still up now on february 2026 or not)

Details such as gameboard synching are mostly confirmed through community obeservations. From past sync pauses, pokestop sync has lapses near the date of large in-person events. Maybe this is a similar behavior for powerspots.
I think this is the topic we have been updating Power Spot sync on. One was reporting yesterday. We think this is due to changes in how Power Spots refresh that were just announced, and not a regular sync.
I had a Wayspot I nominated that didnât appear as a PokĂ©Stop (I knew it wouldnât, more nominating in Ingress and decided to double up this one) appear as a new Power Spot so this seems accurate

Ive had it om occasuon where a waypoint was accepted, it was gling to be a pokestop, but missed the cut off for that day, it turned up as a powerspot at the sync time then became a pokestop the next day
Did it actually appear as a powerspot in game? Or just on the map?

Sorry for the late reply, they appeared as power spots, 2 actually had a pokemon on it that could be battled, the other said âpowerspot opening on x date x timeâ. By the next sync they were stops

The way powerspots appear in the game. - frequency and distribution- is purely a Pokémon Go decision.
The only role for wayfarer is that wayspots we create are available for the game developers to use.
So this is not something this forum can help with.
The wider community has noticed a decrease in regular spawns as you have observed.
For this new season, Pokemon Go has reduced the number of Power Spots active outside of Max Monday.
The community has noticed that they seem to have reduced the number of active Power Spots from 2 per L14 S2 cell to 1.
It is difficult to tell if there was a new sync of eligible Power Spots on the 4th this month because the number of ones in use has been cut in half. Very frustrating game move by the Scopely team.
Reports from around the world indicate that up to 4 additional Power Spots per cell are activated for Max Monday, up to a max total of 5 in an L14 S2 cell.
