Hey, just wandering if there is going to be a global challenge this year similar to last year, and if the dates are already known?
Even with it’s faults, last year’s global challenge was pretty fun for me, really anticipating for the next one
There was quite a few negatives with the last 1 with many people struggling to complete due to server issues so I would guess Niantic will want to make sure nothing similar happens if they do another.
There is also the fact that Niantic is now owned by a different company (Scopely) who may not believe it has any benefits.
We will just have to wait and see.
The global challenges addressed areas with large amount of backlog.
With many places having queue times of a few days to weeks, as opposed to previously having 1-2 years backlog, I’m not sure if there’s enough backlog to even do a Wayfarer global challenge.
