Which photo do i use for the nomination?

Which photo should i use as the principal one? I ask because unfortunately i coudn’t do a photo of the church without all of the people

The people are a problem. Normally it’s the church all the way, but if you can’t get a suitable photo of the church, then the sign is an acceptable proxy for it. Still put the location on the church entrance though

Alternatively, crop the 1st one to remove the people?

Thanks!

I will put it in a cell still very near the church since i’m planning to make a gym with chuch wayspot (if i’m lucky, unless they use the other wayspot i submitted as a church)

Since i mentioned it, can i know why it got rejected by the team even tho i made a good photo?

All the people

It might be the people in the background.

Sometimes reviewers don’t pick the right rejection reason, even if the rejection itself is correct.

???

You will put the church wayspot in a cell near the church?
You will put the sign in a cell near the church?

/confused/

Don’t do that. Pin it accurately, otherwise you risk getting in trouble.

You can choose where to pin a large building from places that make sense ie key architectural point, main entrance, altar? But you cannot pin it away from the building for cell purposes.

Probably the children in the photo.

You have us very confused. Could you give the location of this church so we can see what Wayspots already exist there?

NVM, cropped the sign photo and think I have found it here 41.98698320235512, 14.960762673015083

IMO: It should be pinned at the entrance.

I would only pin at the key architectural point or altar if that is what I was nominating.

Ok then…maybe I found a solution

Having dealt with a large Catholic church property myself (my parish now has 5 wayspots, 4 of which I submitted)…

Please do the main pin for the church accurately to either the sign or the main entrance. Do not - as someone else suggested - use the altar, or even place it in the nave (on the principle of, like a sports field, placing the pin so as to not disrupt the normal use of the space).

Then, if the building or grounds (not including any school or child care center that might exist!) stretch into other cells, find things that are in those cells that can stand on their own. This would likely be memorial plaques, statuary, or artwork. At my parish, I used two outdoor statues (one of them accompanied by a memorial plaque), a memorial plaque (in an outdoor garden area), and one of the stained glass windows. The memorials are for our founding pastor and choir director.

In order to get pictures without people, try going at less busy times. I did most of my photos at my parish on Saturday and Monday. One (the stained glass) was done about 15 minutes after the end of a Sunday Mass, but it’s elevated so I could aim over people’s heads.

Instead of the sign, I would use this as a Wayspot. This looks like a Church Noticeboard. However, no reason why you can’t use both the Sign and the noticeboard. But make sure you place them both in their correct cells.

In addition, further down there appears to be a multi-apartment building that has a playground that can be accessed by the residents, which could be eligible.

I could check if it’s still there in case

Btw I don’t recall any noticeboard currently

Found this, do you think it would be accepted?
