Why didn’t my pokestop appear in pokemon go even though it was accepted? They were accepted and appear in Wayfarer as inactive in Pokémon Go. I’d like them to appear in Pokémon Go because I live in a small village with a large Pokémon Go community, but we have a relatively small number of Pokémon stops. I submitted several suitable locations and they were accepted, but they still haven’t appeared in Pokémon Go, even though several days have passed.

I have this written up for when I see a wheresmypokestop question. I know the in-game prompt tells you that you are submitting a “Pokestop” but you are actually submitting a Wayspot to the database. The Web Submit form does use the word “wayspot” instead. The Wayspot can only become a Pokestop or gym if it is alone in a level 17 S2 cell. That being said, if any were accepted within the past 48 hours, they might just be delayed, as there were some reports that the daily sync may have been skipped yesterday. If it’s been longer than 48 hours though, then it’s very likely that they’re not appearing for the reasons detailed in the linked post above.

If you’d like a visual explanation of how all this works, you are welcome to provide the names and coordinates of the nominations that aren’t showing in game, and someone with the correct wayfarer tools for the job will be able to show you what’s going on.
