In terms of the photo I would have a close up if the logo rather than let the building dominate.
I would recommend including a link to a website about them. Dance is great for exercise and socialisation. However you need to demonstrate that it is not predominately under 18s that the classes are for. I had a quick look and the timetable did have a lot of adult classes but there was also a lot for those under 18. So although not mentioned as a reason for rejection it is something that could be an issue.
Definitely the main photo is a problem, as my initial reaction was “what is this?”. When that’s the reaction, you’ve lost a lot of reviewers regardless of what the text says, as most decisions are made as soon as the reviewers sees the main photo.
To address the under-18 vs adult issue, provide evidence in the supporting text, don’t just state that it is also for adults.
I wasn’t expecting a rejection; all the dance schools I’ve approached have been accepted so far. The photo probably didn’t pan out, but it was a holiday (in Italy), and the gate that allowed me to get closer was closed, and I didn’t like the way the zoom looked.
I don’t have any appeals available at the moment :')
But there are so many things I’d like to appeal. I find my local evaluators too demanding. It’s rare for an appeal to fail. The only thing I can’t get accepted is the Marilyn Monroe-themed bar. I tried to submit just the photo of the actress used as the entrance sign, but nothing…
The picture isn’t ideal, but it’s not a reason to reject since it clearly shows the dance school. Reviewers were overly picky if they rejected due to this image
This doesn’t matter for reviewing. Each submission should be reviewed on its own merits, with a low density of wayspots only coming into consideration for borderline submissions (things that are eligible but you wouldn’t accept in crowded areas).
Thinking you will be harmed by rejecting a wayspot submission, because it means there will one less wayspot in that area, is not how reviewers should be thinking. That’s equivalent to “Needz more pokestopz”.

Però questa mi sembrava una candidatura che mi sarebbe stata accettata automaticamente. Invece dovrò riproporla o sprecarci un ricorso. E’ un peccato, ed è demotivante. Adesso capisco perché nonostante la discreta community che gioca, siamo in pochissimi a candidare wayspot nella mia zona
