But also go back to basics
In my view a police station is not a place to exercise or explore ( it’s not a place you would want to visit) and it’s not designed for socialisation.
Just because it is a public building does not make it meet criteria. What was it about this place that you thought I would make an effort to take a friend to visit it?
Social - is this a place where people come in order to socialize, to be with others, to talk, congregate, have a good time
Exercise - is this something that helps with exercising, moving, keeping active, not just incidentally, but it intended for that
Explore - is this something you would be excited to show someone else, would be excited to have them show you, would add interest to a walk
If something doesn’t meet any of these, it probably isn’t worth submitting since it should get rejected. A police station does not meet any of these core criteria.
You would be in a minority with that view. Admittedly, I’m probably in a minority in finding old metal benchmarks something worth exploring, so that in itself isn’t enough to discount this. Hmm.
I think for Explore it needs to be something you can also imagine other people coming across and thinking is interesting and worth spending time exploring. Fundamentally, if you can’t convince reviewers that something is worth exploring, then there is little benefit in complaining about the reviewers - you simply have something where the general opinion is that it isn’t worth exploring.
It is a standard plaque of a generic city infrastructure. I am happy to meet you there though and drink coffee with the cops while I file a lawsuit against you for wasting my time with this nomination.
