Additional Information (if any): How can a gas agency be a pokestop? It’s a generic shop selling LPG cylinders. I don’t think that’s a place where people gather to be social or that it has any historical significance.
So that nearby places that do qualify for pokestops can be appointed instead of a gas agency. It could even be a safety risk to gather near gas cylinders to play. I don’t understand the point.
You didn’t misunderstand, it is not possible to submit it under Wayfarer criteria.
The Wayspots you reported were bit accepted through Wayfarer, but added through the game team, that’s why they don’t follow the rules.
The criteria for actually removing something is not the same as the rejection criteria, but is also not published, so you can’t remove things for simply being in violation of Wayfarer acceptance criteria
Wow, that’s confusing. I don’t think there should be such a difference in what players can nominate and what the game automatically appoints as pokestops. There’s a playground nearby that’s not a pokestop but a gas agency is!
Not everyone is under the assumption that “More Stops = Better Game”, most Wayfarers prefer an accurate map.
I think most people would agree, when these imports where announced the question was asked whether community submitted wayspots would override “imports” and it seems the answer is no. Once they are in the game they stay unless there is a real reason to remove. I believe “safety” is not an issue. People are expected to visit the location anyway so no different if playing a game.
