I would like to understand why my Wayspot was rejected by Niantic. (I am partly using Google Translate in writing this post so please be aware if something may be slightly written wrong. Thank you!)
It was was automatically rejected because it violates the Wayfarer criteria, see screenshot:

I can’t understand the rejection because it’s visible on Google Maps (https://maps.app.goo.gl/RC8Ws2j7abMsXLM9A) and it’s stated on Google Maps that it’s an “attraction”. Nobody is living there because it’s part of the famous German TV series “Berlin - Tag & Nacht” (film backdrop) and it has it’s permanent berth on this location for many years in the past and ongoing as you can also read on Google. It’s a big attraction with many people coming to the docks to see it and take selfies there.
So, I won’t pretend to know anything about the attraction. I don’t know how Permanent this boat is to that location, so my default stance is that it could be moved, but happy to be proven wrong. To demonstrate how permanent this is, is there any website that shows this to be a Tourist Attraction? Is there any reviews showing peoples experience of this attraction? I had a quick look at the reviews, and to be honest, I am confused as to how this is an attraction that would meet any of the 3 criterias of Exploration, Socialising and Exercise. I get it that it may be seen as a Tourist Attraction in that it has appeared on German TV, but I would want to know more about it if I were to review it. Why would I want to visit it? What can I do if I visit this place? So the type of info I am looking goes beyond “It was on a German TV Programme” which I may not have watched.
What I have said doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not eligible, just I would be looking for more detail on something that would not be obviously eligible to me.
Frankly ,1st look into the photo shocked me. How on earth someone submit a boat haha. But reading down the post make me think more. Is it possible to change the main photo? This one looks interesting but i dont know whats your community opinion about this

Ich habe ehrlich gesagt noch nie von einer Filmkulisse als POI gehört (das macht es für mich schon mal interessant).
Ich würde es erneut versuchen, denn Fans der Serie würden den Ort bestimmt aufsuchen. Es ist also etwas, dass du einem Freund von außerhalb zeigen würdest und bedient damit zumindest das Kriterium “entdecken”.
Sehr wichtig ist herauszustellen, dass es dort dauerhaft verortet ist und ich vermute ohne eine Art von “Beweis” wird es nicht einfach. Also ein link von zB einer Erwähnung in social media o.ä.
Bitte halte uns auf dem laufenden, ob es geklappt hat.

Mir fallen aktuell keine Gründe ein, warum man dort noch hinsollte, außer dass es eine für Deutsche sehr bekannte Kulisse aus einer sehr bekannten Serie ist. Deutsche kommen aus ganz Deutschland extra dorthin, um dort Selfies und Fotos zu machen oder um dort Schauspieler aus der Serie zu treffen, weil sie Fans sind. Mehr ist es nicht, aber eben auch nicht weniger! Eine Kulisse von Harry Potter oder aus einem US Hollywood Film würde sicherlich nicht so schnell abgelehnt werden und das ist nicht fair, finde ich. Natürlich wird die Serie niemals außerhalb Deutschlands bekannt werden, aber für Deutsche ist sie das.
Irgendein Graffiti wie es sie zuhauf als Wayspots gibt ist ja auch nicht spannender.
Betreffend des Fotos: Das Boot hat eine sehr schöne und ansprechende Bemalung auf der Seite. Ich zeige sie euch die Tage mal hier. Vielleicht ist das besser?
Betreffend dem dauerhaften Liegeplatz: Es gibt dazu Medien-Beiträge. Die kann ich raussuchen. Postet man die Links dann beim Einreichen einfach in Supplemental? Natürlich ist NICHTS für die Ewigkeit, aber zurzeit ist es nicht geplant, dass das Boot verlegt wird, weil die Filmstudios auch dort sind, wo es ankert. Und es ist schon seit vielen Jahren dort.
Ich hatte gedacht, dass der Eintrag bei Google Maps, der es als Sehenswürdigkeit mit Namen ausgibt und die sehr vielen Bewertungen von Leuten, die dort waren, ausreicht.
