Why was this duplicate report not approved?

  • Wayspot Title: Columbia
  • Location (lat/lon): Ingress
  • City: Portland, Oregon
  • Country: United States
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):

  • Additional Information (if any): when making this duplicate report I included the name of the other PoI that it was a duplicate of “The Hanging Wind Vane” these two PoI are almost right on top of each other and have pictures of the same object.

I’m not really sure how these were not approved as duplicates of each other.

We don’t know why the removal request wasn’t removed either, but they do seem to have the same photos uploaded to Ingress, but not the same on the Spatial/Lightship map.

I don’t think these are duplicates, as they have different main photos on the Spatial/Lightship map. Columbia has a description, noting that it’s an art piece, and shows the weather vane in the map photo. The Hanging Wind Vane shows a completely different art piece, one that looks to have a pole with some cutouts on top.

So, this leads me to question if these are the same, or if they are for 2 different art pieces in PDX, since they do have quite the art collection.

I think more proof may be needed to determine if these are actual duplicates, or seperate art pieces that others have just uploaed similar images to.

Thanks for the appeal, @AgentX1976. After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspot in question.
