Just scrolling through an area to see what I can submit. Found 2 GR Postboxes, but one appears to be on a Roundabout / Island of some sort. Not expecting it to appear as a Pokestop or a Power Spot, but just thinking whether it could be worth submitting considering where it is located.
I mean, it is a postbox and there is a bench there. Doesn’t that indicate that the location is safe to access for pedestrians?
You would have thought so…. but I know some reviewers would see it as unsafe. I know in the past I would have rejected this based on the lack of safe pedestrian access. I am playing devil advocate and making sure that if I do submit it, that it is reasonably valid for the purpose of safe pedestrian access.
Ah, a thought question. And in the UK. I’m out XD
Opinions are always welcome, even if not from the UK. I am looking at this from a safe access point of view…… rather than eligibility point of view.
As @cyndiepooh stated, the postbox and the bench makes it obvious that it is deemed safe to access.
Would definitely Accept if I got to Review, problem will be getting the postbox past eMiLy. She can be picky ![]()
Good Luck.
I would be doubtful here if I got this in review.
There is no clear way on the photo’s for me to see to safely access to the post box and bench. So
if there was a assigned crossing it would be a accept from me.
With the information presented to me now, I would reject
The bench marks this as a space intended for pedestrians, in addition to the postbox indicating this.
To a point I would agree. And historically, people would have rejected this type of nomination because it lacked a Zebra Crossing or some sort of safe access. That’s dilema I have in whether it should be submitted.
For me, the bench clearly overrides any concerns about crossing the road. There is a distinct official entrance which is obviously in use. The road alongside is a 20 zone.
If I get the chance to go there, I’ll submit it.
