Hi, I’m hoping a moderator or someone from Niantic can review my case.
I recently received a suspension after submitting PokéStop nominations in my new rural neighborhood. Each nomination was submitted on-site, without spoofing or altering my location in any way.
Unfortunately, the system repeatedly flagged my nominations as “misplaced” or “attempting to cheat,” which I believe is due to inaccurate map data in my area rather than any violation on my part.
Here are the key points:
• I live in a newly developed neighborhood where no PokéStops exist and rarely any Pokémon spawn.
• The nearest PokéStop is only accessible via a hiking trail, which makes it difficult for residents to engage with the game.
• All PokéStop nominations were submitted physically at the locations within my neighborhood to try to make it more active for the community.
• I have photo and location proof confirming these are legitimate community locations.
• The PokéStop in question was actually accepted and added to the game.
• Despite this, my account was suspended.
• This issue is affecting multiple players in my area, and some have already stopped playing due to similar experiences.
I’m respectfully requesting:
1. A manual review of my account and suspension
2. A review of the flagged nominations
3. Clarification on how rural players can safely submit PokéStops without being penalized
I’m happy to provide any additional documentation needed (photos, timestamps, location verification, etc.).
Thank you for your time I genuinely enjoy the game and would like to continue playing fairly.
