This is a nomination for a row of Yew Trees in a National Trust site. They are known as the Dancing Bears or Drunken Monks and are over 100 years old. They are maintained as they are part of a botanical garden.
I first submitted them before the new web submission existed. Now I would have included the photos of the guide book below as secondary supporting images.
The appeal team said they were “a temporary plant decoration with no significance”, which I know is stock reply but makes me chuckle. Here are more images to support my appeal:
Oh I remember this one, it’s an incredibly cool feature of the garden and definitely not temporary- those yew trees will live longer than the building will last!! I hope you get this overturned
