3 accepted Pokestop + 3 accepted POI / Submissions removed

[ removed] And that’s a private life i shouldnt have to share.
you see, exactly what i said : too much proof to get seriously
Are the paintings worth it or not ?
it’s not serious if we must get official statement (to share it with who ??)

Mod Edit to remove private information.

These drawings have problems. Because they are new, there is no indication of permanence, that they are intended to stay there for years. A website showing the art group that does that would overcome this. Without such evidence, they look like temporary graffiti - it is up to the submitter to prove otherwise.

You don’t have to share personal information in order to prove permanance. Sharing that you know people in the art class is not proof - you could be someone who simply says that without it being true. You need to look at this from the perspective of someone who doesn’t know anything you haven’t said.

SFPRP - single-family private residential property

My phrasing was intended to convey that that location looked like SFPRP but might not be.

I did a google lens search on the address on the nomination, and am aware that google picks up the closest address it can find. Thank you for sharing the actual location.

I will let @salixsorbus help. I can’t find anything with that kind of link.

Please Remember:

Without evidence we only have your word that you did not go out and do the paintings yourself.

As reviewers we see many instances where people will “Lie” to try and get their waypoints accepted, therefor evidence is required.

Without evidence all that is shown are rocks with Graffiti which IMO should be Rejected.

With evidence that this is an authorised art project it would be eligible but if you can’t / wont provide that evidence then I don’t see how you can complain for the removal.

Sorry that this is not the answer that you hoped for and Good Luck for any future nominations.

I have removed that information as I don’t think you should feel you have to reveal that publicly.

I do think there is a need to take a step back here.

To summarise:

There is a clear group of boulders in a public place. No issue.

A local art group is responsible. However there is no available info Facebook /instagram of them showing off their work.

The quality of the work is open to individual judgement as to whether it is suitable art. That is subjective.

I appreciate that painting on a rock and its rough surface is not as easy as a smooth surface.

I think it best to leave as it stands and wait for the wayfarer teams consideration.

Sorry SlimboyFat : I think you take it too seriously and i find your answer a bit harsh but i suppose it’s barrier langage.
Proof, authorzization, etc. As if we were in court, judging about guilt or innocence of something !
It can’t be “good” if a system considers : “proove you’re right with evidence. As standard we consider you’re wrong”
Well, no i dont have proof and i wont spend time to get it. It’s a game. Not a life changing

Now i understood why it could be removed. Even if it still doesnt make sense to me to validate, put them in the game, make them playable to then delete them few days later.

I just thinks those pokestoph should exist (not a basic vandalism tag, in a spot where there is nothing and it makes that parking looks a bit nice, permanent enough even if it’s hard to judge : who can say if a building will still stand in 1 or 2 years. Will servers be there still also?)
If drawing (somehow, showing human creativity) are not meeting criteras but a basic hiking sign is ok, well, there is also something wrong there, no ?

Thank you very much. Agreed with you about the step back
I don’t get why it gets so serious

So as conclusion, what’s next ? Wayfarer teams always have a look ?
Should i “edit” to add more info (about the surroundings, the streetview link, info about art club) or they will find the submissions if needed ?
I never thought i would have to put this many details in the submissions info tbh

have nice evening

The wayfarer team do answer requests here.

If there is something you would like to add you are welcome to do so.

My only suggestion would be a short video to show one or two of the rocks and ensure something that is on streetview is in the video. And if you can get angle that might show it varnished that might help.

All games have rules. We as reviewers should be sticking to them.

Your nominations look like Graffiti, Graffiti is not eligible. If you don’t have any evidence to show otherwise why do you think reviewers should just accept?

If I was to nominate a Dog Poo Bin but state that it’s actually a Statue of a Dog Poo Bin, should I expect it to be accepted?

You are the 1 that is not accepting the opinions of several people.

IMO and of several others that have posted here, your complaint should have been with your Local Reviewers who should not have Accepted them in the 1st place without evidence.

With all the information given they are Graffiti which does not meet criteria.

The probability is that they have a lot more chance, for the few that don’t they can be reported for removal.

Hiking signs are markers for a Trail which encourages Exercise. 1 of the 3 criteria that all waypoints should meet at least 1.

So easy answer, 1 meets Criteria, the other doesn’t. Nothing Wrong.

The basic problem you are struggling with is that without reviewers taking the quality of the wayspot database seriously, people would submit anything, lie, cheat, abuse the system and get wayspots for anything anywhere. That isn’t what Niantic want, as they have always wanted a database of actual value.

This is why your submissions aren’t as easy as you would like.

There is huge problem with vandalism. If any vandalism got accepted without proof, there will be many people vandalize to get wayspot.

Thanks for the appeal, @slm2mars! We have taken another look but stand by our decision to remove the Wayspots in question.
