When you say these “accounts”, it sounds like you’re not talking about people, only accounts, so are these all owned by the same person? That would be breaking the rules.
The penalties for breaking the rules can be anything up to a permanent ban - things that are more serious can mean that warnings are skipped. Its best to always follow the terms of service and wayfarer rules.
I fully understand and respect the enforcement policy.
However, my concern is that the affected accounts have never been notified of any severe breach, and based on our understanding, they have not intentionally attempted to break the rules.
We are not trying to argue against the policy, but kindly asking whether Niantic could double-check the evidence to ensure that there has been no misunderstanding or mistaken identity.
If the violation is confirmed, we will accept it.
But if there is room for reconsideration, we would be extremely grateful.
The individuals would each need to appeal to their own case.
However the individuals will also need to accept that the policy means that not receiving warnings etc is something that can happen. I hope that all of those involved can accept that as a starting point.
I don’t see any value in trying to make the case in this forum as there are DMs and an individual appeal process.
The contract for participation in Niantic games and Wayfarer is solely between Niantic, Inc. and the individual who agreed to the Niantic Terms of Service.
Even if an individual’s account is not in violation, if the individual owning that account has violated the Terms of Service, Niantic is within its rights to stop providing services to that person. Therefore, suspending all accounts owned by that individual is a legitimate action by Niantic.
If any of those five accounts were singly owned by a different person who was not participating in reviewing, then that individual should make an appeal claiming the action against them is undue.
No-one on this forum should be spreading this message, because it is completely unsubstantiated and has already had a coherent response from Niantic. Spreading what are likely to be falsehoods against Niantic is not something most players would want to be doing, let alone wayfarers.
You pleaded with Aaron to be lenient in punishing five accounts, yet you claim it’s unfair for me to suspend all 26 accounts. I can no longer trust you.
@CrownFeather has not had their accounts suspended, because they don’t have multiple accounts and have not posted about being suspended. They are talking about your suspension(s), the list of five accounts you said were special and the list of 26 accounts that you then said were special (the latter in a post which has been flagged and hidden).
For “you claim it’s unfair for me to suspend all 26 accounts” please read as “you claim it’s unfair for Niantic to suspend all 26 accounts.”
(I know I am speaking for another wayfarer, but this makes sense given what they have said previously.)
As has been stated multiple times, Niantic have ruled and stated they have conclusive evidence. Repeatedly appealing after repeatedly being reminded of this is of no value.
We have suspended these accounts based on conclusive evidence of violations of policies and guidelines. These suspensions are final and non-negotiable.
Since the initial concerns have been addressed and the discussion seems to have veered off, I’ll be closing it from any further engagement.
