And now we wait until the vandaliser submits new removal requests and Niantic somehow approves them again.
I’ve told the team I will keep a close eye on the local area and report anything I find. I’ve been assured that the team have taken this matter seriously however they do have set processes they need to follow and I guess they are still continuing their investigation against the player in question.
But knowing I have some type of backing from not only the community and the wayfarer team I can start the process of repair. We have a leadt ime of 6 weeks for replacements to arrive, so we still have time to monitor the situation prior to installing anything

Oh that is good news. Nice to know the Wayfarer team were actually looking at it.
I did have a thought that if the vandalism continued, it’s the kind of story that the local papers would like to run… let’s see if the vandal likes the cold light of publicity…

Actually that’s a decent point/idea, once I’ve got some funding raised. I might contact the local paper might be a good opportunity to show Niantic’s community in a good light, despite the actions of one individual

I wish I could say I had faith in them, but when there’s cases like this one where they removed and then restored the same wayspot SIX times, it’s hard to believe in Niantic’s competence.

I’m glad you got them back @richiebeckett85 and hopefully the removal of them stops now. I hope Niantic don’t mess it up again their track record would say otherwise.

Funny that you’re calling me negative when you’re still holding an entire country accountable for the actions of a handful of people, which happened years ago.
