Moved Mandarin school (Shanghai, China)

Wayspot Title: 皋兰路28号-汉院中国语学校 (“28 Gaolan Road - Hanyuan Mandarin School”)
Location: 31.218524,121.460278
City: Shanghai
Country: China

The nature of the Wayspot is like this:
The title consists of two components, (1) An address “28 Gaolan Road”, (2) The name of a Mandarin school that was located at this address. The Wayspot photo, however, only shows the street number sign and the historical building at this address, not the name of the Mandarin school:

The official page of the school:

In December 2022, the address of the school was 28 Gaolan Road (Wayback Machine link):

In the next Wayback Machine capture in April 2023, the school has moved to East Xietu Road (link):

I went to the new address of the school to confirm its current location (geotagged photo attached):

28 Gaolan Road has been Huangpu District People’s Congress Deputies’ Home since May 2024 (link):

So now the question is, does this Wayspot represent the historical building at this address or the Mandarin school? I tried to change the Wayspot title to “28 Gaolan Road” with the following note:

The street address of this location is 28 Gaolan Road. This location used to be Hanyuan Mandarin School in 2022 (see Wayback Machine link: Learn Chinese in China | Hanyuan Mandarin school in shanghai | Chinese Language School - learn chinese in shanghai hanyuan mandarin school! ). But now, Hanyuan School has moved to a different location (see current link: https://www.mandarinschool.net/ ). This location is no longer Hanyuan School. So the proposed title removed “Hanyuan Mandarin School” and only kept the street address “28 Gaolan Road”.

But was denied with the following note from Niantic:

Thanks for the appeal, Explorer. The existing text is more descriptive than the suggested contribution. Hence, we are unable to approve this.

If this means Niantic regards this Wayspot mainly associated with the school, then since the school has relocated, the Wayspot should be removed.

Thanks for the appeal, @tonygaosh After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspot in question.
