Aww that’s such a shame! Niantic can be a bit inconsistent with decisions on parks and green spaces with no signs.
I hope you can be a bit inventive and try to find a way to frame a main picture that shows its more distinctive, and get a success from it
@elijustrying linked one of my successes and here are 2 other recent signless entrances. One was accepted on appeal and the other was rejected but overturned on this forum so now shows as an acceptance
If that can look like a green tunnel entering the park (well maybe yellow or orange this time of year) with the path leading in, it might be quite effective?
It would be lovely, unfortunately I did a similar photo for my previous submission and it was rejected as a ‘regular path’ despite the other information I put on the nomination. I like my open view showing more of the space too, which is sunny unlike any photo I would try to take now in the UK lol
I’ve had rejections too. I can be quite stubborn about things I really believe in. One particular footbridge at a park entrance (oh, also signless actually!!) took me 10 tries.
So hopefully we will manage to get something that works for you too
There was a tiny bit of sunshine coming through the fog today! Tiny bit. Short lived.
Aww thanks. Another one I have tried five times or something but kind of given up on as I realised it was more debatable. This one I’m more passionate about I’m convinced it’s eligible and acceptable currently
This link is good evidence that your park is eligible. It specifically mentions no need for a placemaker sign. I have put this in my appeals before, to varying success levels
The links you’ve provided here clearly show that this is intended to be a recreation area by your local council.
The description is “Popular with dog walkers and used to play cricket.”
This does your submission no favours at all and is actually a negative, given that the main photo is of a space where you definitely cannot play cricket.
I have seen children play a form of cricket here, but usually on the other side of the trees where there is a little more space. They make do even if not a full size field. The photo is from the entrance to the larger space which is divided in two by a path and the trees. There is an even smaller patch back down the path but this part isn’t used much.
