The author’s main disagreement is correct because nominations related to local private businesses are often not sustainable. They close and open new locations constantly, business people must understand that difficulty. In an average year in this country, assuming 100 coffee shops open, more than 80% of them close within 2 - 6 months on average. That’s why these nominations are not worthy in this locality. Internationally, these places are so prominent that locals in the surrounding area know it is a perfect destination. As for cafes like the list above, they don’t have names, they’re just empty words that aren’t convincing. If only based on the criterion that it is a community place, there are many worthy places. Pokemon Go is a game created for Walking, not Staying at a location that doesn’t have much value.
There is not too much data to show that these lists are actually an interesting destination in an area. If you feel dissatisfied, just wait for this location to close and delete it from the game, after all, the business location in Vietnam is not long-term.
If it were worth it, this person wouldn’t be complaining like that. This means that in fact the community has made correct assessments.
That’s funny!
You are not in this city, how do you know what they are? I guarantee that the cafes on the list have existed for more than 1 year. and please don’t use clone react yourself
some people in VN Group are still people trying and they have a few cafe nominations accepted by community. I respect what they try.
wayfinders in my city agree with Cafe POI, These are my nominations that have been accepted by the community. and some of my other friends also have it.
That guy is only a small part of the community and still lacks a lot of knowledge about our city
I don’t know how much time do you have playing Niantic’s games. Or which games do you play.
There was a time when all PoIs was nominated by players. First Ingress Agents, then Trainers lvl 40. Wayfarer started to grow and we got this way to review the PoIs.
When a PoI was accepted, it appears instantly at IITC according to the Ingress requirements. The next day, depending to the time, the PoI appears in Pokemon Go generating gyms or pokestops.
One day Niantic took from Foursquare a lot of PoIs and those became into new spawn of pokestops and gyms… All of them with a default picture. That’s the way you have to recognize when a PoI was accepted from wayfarer or if it’s a foursquare PoI
This caused a lot of changes between IITC-Ingress dynamic and Pokémon Go. Some Foursquare PoIs should to be reported because criteria (i.e Places for adults) and others still alive and we changed the generic picture to the PoI picture…
You can google about foursquare and pokemon go/Niantic
I don’t know how much people know about this or remember when the PoIs appears around the world… In highways, towns and cities…
oh, yeah … If you play Ingress, some time after Pokemon Go DB was different than the IITC, Niantic merged the data and those PoIs appears in Ingress too
Wayspots appear in Ingress 12-48 hours after being accepted. (Unless the sync is broken and it takes longer.) I don’t know how how much time after Ingress syncs, until IITC syncs.
But yes, your point is good - that the FourSquare and Courts of the World wayspot uploads appear only in PokemonGo, so are not on Ingress or IITC.
One other point: reporting a location for being “adults only” does not work. Gum Club / Shooting Range - #13 by NianticAtlas
Sorry English is not my main language. I’m saying before Foursquare PoIs, portals appears when you received the acceptation email. You got the Key, the AP and no need to wait until 48 hours.
PoIs from Foursquare was added at Ingress and when that happened it was changed the sync from both games.
Now PoIs appears in Pokemon Go at sync hour and Ingress have 48 hours if it’s possible (distance…)
I don’t think that’s accurate. Ingress was the first of the Niantic games that people could nominate wayspots for. So once accepted wayspots would go there and then to other games.
But since Niantic introduced the Lightship database, any accepted wayspots go there and then are available to sync into other Niantic games. Ingress and Pokémon Go are scheduled to sync daily.
Yes you are correct. I had forgotten; thanks for reminding me.
Originally (before Lightship), when you got the acceptance email, it appeared in Ingress immediately. There was no sync, because there was only one map. Nothing to sync.
