Question about warnings

Hey guys,

I recently submitted a waypoint and got a 1 day warning for it….?

My question is, after a certain amount of time, will that warning be cleaned off my account?

Or is that warning now counted as a permanent 1 strike?

Hello, this warning is the first step in the ladder policy. If there are no violations over the next year, the points will be removed and restored. More importantly, please check why you received the warning. It’s important to know which Wayspot submission caused it and what the violation was.

Wayfarer Abuse Enforcement Ladder Policy — Wayfarer Help Center
Redemption period
With the exception of those who have been sentenced to a 10-year suspension, offenders who have behaved impeccably for a period of one year will have their previous offense forgiven. This means that their account returns to a clean slate level and their previous offenses will not cause them to have stronger punishments, should they misbehave again.

Just so I understand it clearly cuz im abit dumb :sob:

If i get my 1st strike,

After 1 year, my account goes back to a clean slate, right?

Additional questions:

  • If i have 2 strikes, after 1 year, does it erase my 2nd stike so my account has 1 left? Or does it erase both strikes?

Yes, it will return to its original state.

Based on what I’ve read, it appears that to return to the original status, one year must pass from the date of the second warning or disciplinary action. In other words, if a second violation occurs, the state where both violations are recorded will persist for one year.

For further clarity…..
The depending on the severity of the offence you can go straight to a 10 year ban. This is because it isn’t simple adding up of strikes, the steps can be skipped.

The best policy is to come to a clear understanding of what you did wrong and to stick to the rules. The community here will be happy to help you..
