Many people have reported having an edit adding more context being rejected. For example, an edit to “Main Street Playground” rejected to leave the title just “Playground.”

I am somewhat worried about some of my edits being seen as spam by the community. Most of my edits are title improvements and adding descriptions where there were either none or lacking before.

So, it appears that, due to this matter, Niantic has extended the challange, and it will now end on November 13th at 12pm PST, which is 20:00 UTC.
I highly doubt though that rewards will start going out on the 13th though.

I’m starting to think ML just accepts anything within The Netherlands. One wayspot just got a decrease in value, and now has a name that stigmatizes Roma people. Used an edit to undo this.

The Netherlands is one of the countries in Europe where there has been a lot of abuse, and not just with Wayfarer. Besides, a title that is bullying or harassing people is considered abuse, and is listed in the Rejection Criteria:
Abusive text, description, and/or photo
Title, description, and/or photo is offensive/objectionable, includes hate speech against a protected group.
So really, you did a good thing by removing the abusive text toward Romas. Can’t say I’m surprised this got through, especially with The Netherlands.
The “extension” has. Nothing to do with “this matter”. The dates were shared when the challenge began, before “this matter”.
The dates were Oct 30th to Nov 11th. Another Ambo provided a screenshot of the original dates after someone asked if there would be an extension.
Those were the date in the preliminary announcement, they changed on the official announcement at the start if the challenge and not since. I dk what ambo post your talking about.
Just stop arguing about this. It doesn’t really matter if you or I get the last word in, as it’s not that big of a deal. Also, you are making me feel like I’m not smart. Thank about that.
If you dont wish to be corrected dont spread misinformation and blame towards niantic with the “typical niantic” comment.

Actually I only just submitted it. I hope it will be accepted. Most of my stuff is, but there might be a detect for wayspots that have been already edited recently.
You can always report the current title as abusive, even via help chat or the Report Abuse link at the top of the forums.
I found that to be helpful in getting a title edit approved for a local music store; it actually had a photo that was for the sewing machine shop nearby, and the title reflected that. I reported the wrong photo via help chat, and the next day, not only was the inaccurate photo removed, but my title edit was approved.

Does resubmitting edits that ML rejected count as such?
A “spam edit” could include but not he limited to
- Sending the same edit multiple times without waiting for the first to be approved/rejected
- Sending multiple copies of the same exact photo
- Degrading the quality of text - intentionally adding improper grammar or punctuation
- Adding photos that remove the POI from focus
I would say “No” but I would suggest finding something to change when you resubmit, otherwise ML may just continue to reject.

A Spam Edit is resubmitting the same edit that has been rejected in hope it will achieve a different result.
A Spam Edit is also moving wayspot to multiple locations via small movements.
A Spam Edit could be submitting edits with nonsense such as “asdfasdfkadsfdksajfkdsfifeuerf” just to waste reviewer’s or ML’s time.
If your review went down a couple levels quickly, it’s probably because you mis-rated one of what we call a “honey pot”.

Even though this is from 2019, I bet it’s more in use these days with ML than it was back then.
