So I’ve tried to get this scenic viewpoint bench in game as I have heard viewpoints like this are eligible. Im not having great luck with it, and every time I do it differently, Niantic always seem to have a different rejection reason, almost as if they are unsure whether it is eligble too.
The first reason was that the location did not match, so i have added multiple photos of the surrounding area, but that clearly didnt help. The newest reason is that the image is blurry. So it just seems to me like Niantic are almost making excuses to not put it in game as they may be unsure??
Please met me know if i should give up. I mean, there are numerous wayspots around this area anyways, but who wouldnt want even more? Thanks.
As a general rule, the appeal reviewer will stick with the community rejection reasons if they don’t see an strong reason to overturn.
Since your photo does have a quality problem, this is why the appeal reviewer kept the rejection.
The angle of the sun has caused visible distortion from the bottom left to the lower-mid right.
For a slightly borderline submission, this is sufficient to turn reviewers who might accept into reviewers who reject it.
Benches-with-a-view are decent candidates, but opinions differ on each bench.
Can you let us see the whole submission please?
I wouldn’t call either of these images low quality. The view looks stunning and I really like the idea you had for this nomination.
Can’t comment on location accuracy but might be that the bench isn’t visible on satellite. I’m sure the lake is though!
The rejections seem pretty harsh in my opinion. Would need to see the full nominations to comment further
It was rejected based on the ai auto reject, but this main photo I did once certainly isn’t low quality!

That rejection was from the community. You did the right thing if you resubmitted with extra information (additional support photos) to prove the bench exists at that location, but it is unfortunate that your new photo was low quality.
Both were automatically declined. The rejection reason got added on after niantic themselves reviewed via the appeal. There were no rejection reasons before the appeal and only said the typical “auto declined..” reason.

The auto system frequently rejects submissions like this. It is frustrating.
This is clearly a nice view and the view is framed buy the trees and the bench - altogether a nice location. The straight on picture is good and I could forgive the other as the bench and the view are not affected.
