Wayspot Removal Appeal - Five Different Locations Sharing the Same Title

  • Additional Information (if any): Our government decided to remove the paintings from the existing electric transformer boxes many years ago to avoid distracting drivers in the city. Evidence can be found on Google Maps, including its historical Street View. According to the Google Street View, the painting was removed during 2018-2020. I have also attached an updated photo here.

  • Additional Information (if any): I couldn’t find the exact surroundings as shown in the old Wayspot photo. According to Google Street View, the painting might have been removed a long time ago. I have also attached the most recent photo here.

In addition to the appeal, I have a small suggestion. Local reviewers frequently make slight edits to the Wayspot title and its geo coordinates in their favor. The rejection emails do not provide enough information, especially the coordinates, to indicate which Wayspot I reported and the current status of the Wayspot. I hope this process can be improved. Thank you.

Thanks for the appeal, @shellgroup. After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspots in question.

這並非審查員，而是Niantic系統自己更改的。譬如說你申請刪除A壁畫，此時此地雖然Ａ壁畫已經消失，但變成了另一個主題的Ｂ壁畫的話，系統為了避免濫用還是效率等我們不知的原因，他會把名稱變成這wayspot的種類：『壁畫』回信給你

承上，電箱的問題是系統認為『電箱形狀還在』，所以如果標題是『ooxx電箱』或『xxyy壁畫』，系統就會把名稱變更成『電箱』或『Transformer box』回信給你

This was not changed by the reviewers, but by the Niantic system itself. For example, if you apply to delete mural A, although mural A has disappeared here and now, it has become mural B with another theme. In order to avoid abuse or efficiency, or some reason we dont know etc., the system will change the name to this wayspot’s category: “Mural”, and reply to you.

Following on from the above, the problem with the electrical box is that the system thinks that “the shape of the electrical box is still there”, so if the title is “ooxx electrical box” or “aabb mural of eletrial box”, the system will change the name to “electrical box” or “Transformer box” in reply for you.
