Additional Information: Both of these Wayspots are in a secure Container Port, with no public access allowed. Nearest pedestrian access is 190m from Wayspot.
Doesn’t matter, dock workers and others that have permission to be there can access the wayspots just fine.
Not everyone has to have access to every wayspot.
But I can see why a local blue player would want them removed.

Niantic’s definition of safe and publicly accessible means that if some members of the public can access it safely, it’s valid. It doesn’t need to be accessible by everyone. These are clearly intended to be safely accessed on foot, looking at the signage in their photos.
Wayspots are allowed to be in limited access locations, including places that are only open at certain times, on the property of a company, in a gated community, etc… This is clarified when reviewing if you press one of the tool tips.
Thanks for the appeal, @JCDanger. We took another look at the Wayspots in question and decided that they do not meet our criteria for removal at this time.
