That’s pretty cool!
Wow!!! That’s incredible
Had to rake through a pile of trail markers to find it
Submitted a Queen Victoria postbox in salisbury but was rejected as too close to a plastic park info board. Really annoying…
Not all that old, but not a new tractor certainly
Rare because its at a pub, and as we have heard a few times, pubs are contentious in countries that arent the UK. It’s there as play equipment and it has super cute “eyes”
These are my other old nominations after looking through
This is my “rare” one. You dont really see a book exchange this stocked up and in a bus shelter too often
Wow now that is a decent free library
That’s tonnes of books!
There’s more books in there than the whole population of that village
Dont know how I missed this one when i was looking through my nominations. It’s a viaduct built in 1878 that you can walk on now because it’s apart of a park
Good pick @NotASmurfTorb and congrats on making the showcase (again)!
As for my contributions to this topic, I have a bunch of old stuff I nominated in my hometown in Italy. There’s loads of historical POIs there which were not in Niantic’s database so it’s been fun to add them. Examples include the Church bell tower which is from the 16th century, and a middle-age monastery on top of a hill which is now sometimes used as a theatre.
To add to this
I would say these are rare to see in other places in england but not really in this county
An old miners welfare club (about 100 years old) in a hall ( a big house many centuries old). It’s now turned into a community event place open to everyone.
This stuff looks great! I haven’t gotten around to submitting the nomination yet, but there’s this old advertisement for Kramer-brand thermometers I found walking around that caught my eye because it used to have a real oversized thermometer bolted to it
It’ll probably get rejected, but I’ll submit it next chance I get
