Hello so i had nominated a location to be a pokestop and after some time it said it got approved and would appear in game within 48 hours. It has now been about 3 weeks. The status still says approved though. Should i be worried? Or is there something wrong?

It would help if the location is a little more detailed than that 
You can get the coordinates of a wayspot you submitted from the initial receipt email - it will be below the two photos.
Alternatively, click on google maps at the location of the wayspot and get the coordinates from that.
Example: 30.251248, -94.203962

Whenever I talk about S2 cells I try to remember to issue a strong caution to anyone who may see the post not to use knowledge of them to misplace points of interest so they will show up in game. Just use the knowledge to look other places. This particular one appears to be eligible to be added to the power spot pool, but we don’t know exactly how those are chosen yet.
Yea no that definitely makes sense and i can see how people could abuse that system
