Adding photos to Power Spots

Hello,

Is there any need in adding Photos/Descriptions to Power Spots YET?

Just wanna know so I know what to do with the feature. :3

I personally don’t see a need to do anything with Wayspots power spots.

I find it helpful for the Courts of the World imports because if it’s a park that hasn’t had real nominations in it and say you nominate the park sign people might duplicate it for the basketball court. So I will add a photo of the basketball court lol

When photos are added to the Power Spot imports, it makes it more difficult to tell which are the imports and which are actual approved Wayspots. If they were imported for Power Spots they can still be submitted as Wayspots if eligible.

The previous comment I made stating this observation was removed. I hope the person who flagged it finds this wording acceptable.

Personally I wouldn’t do it.

  • No in game advantage (Ingress where you get a photo approved you get +500 AP, I don’t think you get anything in PokĂ©mon GO)
  • Photo doesn’t show in game on the Power Spot
  • Adds a layer of confusion to the duplicate map as it’s harder to tell what’s a Power Spot and what’s not. Better to leave the grey “default” image

So I wouldn’t bother.

My number 1 reason I don’t submit photos for Power Spots: you don’t see them when you click on the spot, so what’s the use?

Personally i wont bother getting photo into wayspot. Especially since we dont know if we are getting wayspot map or no. It will make submission harder if we are checking duplicate
