Hello! I’m fairly new to creating waystops and reviewing nominations and I have tried looking through the guidelines to find my answer. Unfortunately, I am still unsure so seeking help here (apologies if this has already been answered previously!)
Question: what are the guidelines around playgrounds — is it one nomination for the whole playground? I’m receiving a lot of reviews for nominations that are individual pieces of a playground (eg: 1x nomination for the swings, 1x nomination for the slide, 1x for the climbing wall etc). So a single playground could potentially have 10 different wayspots, all different individual playground items.
I have my own opinions on this but want see what the actual rules are before reviewing anymore nominations. Thank you in advance for your help
Yes, the nomination is for the entire playground, not each piece of equipment there. The exception is if there are different types of playgrounds in the same area, such as one for children 5 and younger, and another for one over the age of 5. More info can be found here:
Physical distance is also something to consider. This is a neighborhood where the playground is circled in red, but at the X there are a set of swings. Those are separated by an entire parking lot, so they are separate wayspots.
This is a new thing that is happening as people are running out of leigitimate wayspots but /wantz more pokestopz/. Reject as duplicate if there is an existing wayspot for the playground or any piece of equipment.
