They are almost always located in the same equipped area as the playground.
Is this a playground element and should be nominated as a whole with the playground or is it sports equipment and can be nominated separately? I’m talking specifically about when they are located on the same territory prepared for a playground.
In both of these examples they are in one enclosed area With the same surface on the ground. So it appears to be one area. In the background I can see other play equipment, and I would consider these play equipment ( play equipment involves exercise)
So these are part of one play area not acceptable on their own.
These are playground sets to me, not sports equipment. These are meant for children to play on, even if that involves climbing playsets like these. We also have clarification on playgrounds which may be helpful:
If there is already a Wayspot in this area for the playground, I would mark these as duplicates if there is no separation between the equipment.
Then please comment on a real-life example. In this panorama, you see a playground. Separate wayspots already exist for the slide (right side) and the stairs (left side). They were recently accepted.
Feel free to report those separate wayspots and ask the Wayfarer team to combine them into a single wayspot. You can do that through Help Chat or the Wayspot Removals link at the top of this page.
I think that’s too broad of a statement for such focused photos that don’t show the situation and nuance clearly.
The from the criteria page does give leeway for structures based on different age groups. Usually, at least in the US, these will even have signs that help denote the age focus.
Not meeting eligibility requirements is not always enough for removal - often times generic signage that should never be approved are refused for removal.
If you are unhappy with something you believe was an incorrect decision from Wayfarer staff, you are welcome to provide the full context and ask for a second look from staff in here.
In my entire life in our country, I have only seen one sign stating that one carousel is suitable for children in wheelchairs. I have never seen any age signs.
For something to meet removal criteria, it isn’t as simple as not meeting acceptance - that’s not how the removal process works.
I think it’s a fair suggestion to provide as much information, especially since nuances are not being presented to us such as descriptions and supporting text that lead to approval.
