I think you posted your supporting screenshot twice. I don’t see the main photo.

The email says “our team” so this was a rejection by the ML (machine learning ai) model.

Drinking fountains are seen as just “infrastructure” in most of the world, so I understand why the ML model rejected it. I will let someone from the area try to advise you whether to resubmit this. Thank you for adding the screenshot.

This nomination has been rejected. You have three options now:

  1. Forget this one and try something else.

  2. Appeal this decision to Niantic reviewers to look at this again. You get 2 appeals that will be available every 20 days.

  3. Submit a new nomination for this same thing.

I cannot recommend 2 or 3 based on my knowledge of drinking fountains, but there may be context I don’t know.

If this showed up in my review session I would not approve it. It does not meet any of the criteria as a great place to:

  • Exercise
  • Explore
  • Be social
